Custom-engineered drums for modern metal, djent, and prog producers.
Unleash the full power of your mix with DSP Signature Sounds – Kick, Snare & Impacts, handcrafted and engineered by David Sustaita.
This pack features my custom kick and snare samples, captured from a Crush Sublime Birch Kick and a DW-PDP Maple Walnut Snare and processed for professional-grade clarity, punch, and realism tailored to the way that I mix. Additionally included is an insanely heavy one-shot snare sample and 2 cinematic impacts that are a staple.
Drum sample articulations information:
- Kick In: deep, defined low-end with attack that cuts. This kick is huge, almost a little too huge, but has a transient that blends with guitar and bass like butter.
- Snare: top, bottom, and room/hall layers for a wide, natural tone. The top is very snappy and the body comes from the room. There is enough latitude to shape the snare direct mics as much as you want if you want something thicker. The starting palate is very crisp and articulate.
- Snare One Shot: This thing is a chimera, and it sounds pissed off. Throw this into any breakdown and prepare the stank face
- Formats: provided in both WAV and TCI for Slate Trigger users.
These aren’t your average one-shots — they’re multi-sample hard hits, carefully designed to feel alive and dynamic in the mix. Use them as mix-ready replacements or as the foundation for your drum sound — I typically blend them as about 70% of the main source for powerful, natural aggression. The There are no medium or soft articulations, these are meant to be used as your core sound, not for ghost notes and other dynamic things.
Whether you’re shaping tight djent tones or massive progressive metal productions, these samples deliver the clarity, consistency, and punch needed to bring your drums to life.
Engineered for power. Built for realism. Ready to drop straight into your session.
